WordPress maintenance is the ongoing programming and development work to keep a site updated and optimized. WordPress maintenance can also refer to the work that goes into clearing the technical debt incurred from previous development efforts, as well as ongoing development efforts.
What is included in WordPress maintenance?
In all plans, we include the basics you need to keep your site updated, secured and fully backed up. As you move up in our plan structure, we add in custom development hours, speed optimization, and other consulting services.
How does your maintenance retainer work?
It’s really simple. Depending on your plan, each month you have a certain number of hours that you can use for maintenance or custom work. If you don’t use those hours they roll over to the next month. We’ll let you know each month what your hours are, and give you estimates for any support tasks you have in our system. That way you can budget your hours and task as needed. As always, if you ever need to cancel your plan, we refund any unused hours. There’s absolutely no obligation.
What happens if a plugin or theme update breaks my site?
Simply put: we fix it. Sometimes this can happen when plugins get extremely out of date, or are very customized. No problem. We can pinpoint the problem, and figure out a workaround, as well as preventing the update error from happening again.
Do you offer web hosting?
Yes. The type of hosting that we will recommend and the price will vary drastically from site to site. Let’s schedule a time to discuss your specific needs and we can determine the best hosting plan for your specific situation.
Do you offer discounts for managing more than one site?
Unfortunately, we do not. Each plan is tailored to each of your sites and each plan covers 1 website (domain) only.
How many support requests can I submit each month?
As many as you like. You plan size determines the pace at which we can work on your support requests. Need to book more work than your current plan? Level up to our ENTERPRISE plan, and you can have a dedicated development team. Talk about getting things done!
What's your refund policy?
We do not offer any refunds on work that we have done. You are able to cancel your plan at anytime and we will stop our billing and will not bill you on the next monthly cycle.
Does my subscription cover theme and plugin license renewals?
The simple answer is no, it does not. Since every site is different in scope and their goals they typically have a handful of different plugins. We empower our clients by letting them maintain the keys to their plugins so that if they decide to use another company or developer they will be able to take their keys and plugins with them.
What happens if my site goes down?
We monitor all of our maintenance sites 24/7. In the unlikely event that your site goes down, our developers are notified immediately, and begin working on the issue to get it back up.
Will you help me figure out the plugins my site needs?
Yes. We work with a lot of sites and know about a lot of plugins. Our team will be able to recommend plugins that we have seen work that could work for your site too. Of if you have a plugin and want to know if it will solve a specific problem that you have, ask us and we can give you our input on it.
How many sites are covered in a single maintenance plan?
The SILVER and GOLD plans cover a single website. Our CUSTOM plans can be setup to handle as many websites as you need.
